About KJ Landholdings LLC
We are a family-owned business ran by partners Kevin James and Karl James. We focus primarily on vacant land in Texas and nearby states.
We buy many different types of properties including tax-delinquent property, inherited property, in-fill lots and land owners no longer want and sell the properties to new owners at competitive prices.
About Kevin
Kevin is our Operations Manager. He lives in, and works from, Waco, Texas. He has also lived in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Alaska.
He initially studied engineering at Baylor University. After developing an interest in finance and business (particularly the land niche of real estate and small business), pursued an accounting degree from Tarleton State University. His hobbies include classic cars, motorcycles, gun collecting, snow boarding and enjoys his German shepherd, Sarah.
Kevin enjoys working with people and managing all aspects of our acquisition and sales activity.
About Karl
Karl lives in Fulshear, TX with his wife of over 35 years, Michell. They have lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Alaska during Karl’s 35+ year finance and accounting career in the energy industry. Karl and Michell have three children. Read more about Kevin, above. Their middle child, Meagan, passed away shortly after birth from complications associated with Trisomy 18. Their youngest, Clara, is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Dallas Baptist University and helps Kevin and Karl, part-time, in the land business.
Karl has undergraduate degrees in mathematics and accounting from Southeastern Oklahoma state University and an MBA from Houston Baptist University. He has been involved in the land business since 2013 and started KJ Landholdings, with Kevin as a partner, several years ago.
